Pakistan was defeated badly by India in the group stage match. The Pakistan team was criticized for its bad defeat. After the defeat in the group stage to India, Pakistan also confirmed the Super Four. Pakistan had a chance to take revenge against India. But Pakistan was defeated by India again.

The two countries faced each other in the Super Four. India won the toss and decided to field. Pakistan started to bat well. Both Fakhar Zaman and Farhan became aggressive against the Indian bowlers. But Fakhar Zaman was caught out controversially for 15 individual runs. However, Farhan continued to play with one end in front. Later, Saim and Farhan built a good partnership. However, this pair did not last long. Saim and Farhan were out for 21 and 58 individual runs. After that, the Indian bowlers suppressed Pakistan.  In the end, Pakistan was able to score 171 runs, relying on Faheem Ashraf's innings of 20 runs off 8 balls.

The Indian batsmen started batting brilliantly. Shuvman Gill and Abhishek Sharma started scoring runs at a storming pace. They built a great partnership of 120 plus runs. Even though Abhishek Sharma was out for 74 and Shuvman Gill for 47 runs, India came very close to winning. In the end, India won by relying on Tilak Verma's short innings of 30 runs off 19 balls.

Pakistan batted better in this match than in the previous match. But the Pakistan team suffered due to the lack of good quality spinners. On the other hand, India had world-class spin bowlers like Kuldeep and Varun Chakraborty. Pakistan was far behind in the bowling department, which is why they had to lose to India.
