Tension rise again in the middle east: Gulf region shakes from explosions in Iran-Israel retaliatory attacks.
Smoke was seen around the headquarters of the U.S. Navy's Fifth Fleet in the Juffair area of Bahrain, and authorities there confirmed the missile attack. Explosions were also heard in Abu Dhabi and Kuwait; in Kuwait, citizens were alerted with sirens. Qatar's Ministry of Defense stated that their air defense system successfully intercepted the missiles fired targeting it.
Meanwhile, news of a joint attack by the United States and Israel has been reported in Tehran and various cities across Iran. Iran's state media reported explosions in different areas of the capital and missile strikes. Israeli officials claimed that the target of this operation was to eliminate a potential threat. Fearing retaliatory attacks, Israel has issued nationwide alerts, restricted educational institutions and public gatherings, and instructed citizens to stay in safe places.
In this situation, new fears of a larger conflict between Iran and Israel have emerged. Previously, in June 2025, following a massive airstrike in Iran, a continuous 12-day intense conflict occurred between the two countries, during which both sides used extensive missiles and military force. Subsequently, under international pressure and increasing damage, the two countries agreed to a ceasefire. The recent events have raised concerns about a repetition of that tense chapter.
