A Muslim driver from Manikganj came to Baliati Palace with his wife due to his acquaintance, friendship and good relations with Krishna Chandra Moni Das, a member of the extremist Hindu organization ISKCON.
After the tour, in the evening, they went to the house of Fani Chandra Moni Das in Ramraban village. After much gossiping there, they were taken to the house of Krishna Chandra Moni's sister Shanti Rani Moni Das to spend the night.
Krishna Chandra Moni himself is responsible for taking care of everything for the couple. The Muslim couple fell asleep immediately due to the fatigue and movement of the whole day. Around 12 am, 5-7 Hindu youths entered the room with chapatis and ramdas.
Upon entering, they tied the husband to a pole in the house with a rope and tortured the helpless housewife all night long at the sight of sharp weapons. They even snatched away three and a half tons of gold ornaments, including earrings, necklaces and bracelets.
The husband and wife were forced to leave the house and village before dawn by threatening to kill them. The next morning, they went to local public representatives and dignitaries in the hope of justice. According to the locals, at that time, some unruly youths including Sajeeb Chandra Moni Das beat the victim couple with sticks and threw them out of the village.
The police went to the spot after receiving information about the incident. ASI Haradhan Sarkar of Dhamrai police station said, None of the victim or the accused could be found on the ground. Local UP member Montu Chandra Moni Das also said that no one was found at the house of the incident and no one could be identified.
So far, Bangladeshi political parties, human rights organizations, news channels and the administration have remained silent.
Muslim persecution by Hindus is increasing in Bangladesh. A few days ago, a Hindu youth killed a Muslim girl for rejecting a love proposal. The main media in Bangladesh has not published any news about this murder.
If legal action is taken against a Hindu or minority who commits a crime, the Indian government and the Indian media present it on the international stage as an atrocity against Hindus. That is why the Bangladeshi government has failed to take punitive action against Hindu extremist organizations and Hindu criminals.
