Bangladesh is going to buy all the dangerous fighter aircraft
Online Desk:
Bangladesh Armed Forces were paralyzed for the last one and a half decades under Indian pressure. Bangladesh was under Indian advice and surveillance at all places from the air to the border. The autocratic Sheikh Hasina had sold Bangladesh to India. After the fall of the autocratic Awami League government, the Defense Department of the interim government has taken the initiative to reform the Bangladesh Air Force.
In this continuation, Bangladesh is going to buy aircraft and helicopters from China, Turkey, Italy and Pakistan. For the purchase of all these weapons, an Air Vice Marshal of the Air Force has been instructed to form a 12-member committee consisting of a president and representatives of various ministries. First stage, the joint committee will prepare and hold discussions with the delegations of Turkey and Italy. The Air Force wants to sign this purchase agreement within the 25-26 fiscal year.
Weapons purchase list:
Bangladesh will purchase 20 J-10C fighter jets from China. The process of purchasing these fighter jets is in the final stages. The current government has taken the initiative to purchase these fighter jet at a cost of 2.2 billion dollars in April this year.
Bangladesh is going to buy 10 Eurofighter Typhoon multirole combat aircraft of 4.5 generation from Italy.
The government will buy 16 JF-17 Thunder fighter aircraft from Pakistan. The purchase of these fighter aircraft will cost 720 million dollars.
Bangladesh will buy 6 T-129 attack helicopters from Turkey.
Among these warships, Bangladesh can soon get Italian-made fighter aircraft and Turkish-made attack helicopters.
The fighter aircraft procurement committee will mention the draft contract, fighter aircraft maintenance, support, maintenance methods, training and spare parts management and other ancillary issues in the contract. It will also discuss with the representatives of the said country the pricing of fighter aircraft and helicopters through bargaining and the payment method.
The interim government has taken good initiatives to protect the sovereignty and integrity of Bangladesh. However, it may take a long time to purchase these fighter jets and helicopters. One of the reasons for the long time is political and bureaucratic complications. As a result, the Air Force may face various problems in purchasing fighter jets and helicopters. For this reason, the interim government should quickly conclude the purchase agreements with these countries.
