They are trying to impose a war on Bangladesh by spreading false information about Hindu oppression in Bangladesh.
In the wake of the attack on the Bangladesh High Commission, the Bangladesh government summoned Pranoy Verma, the Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh. He was asked to explain the incident. But India could not give any satisfactory answer. Through this diplomat, Bangladesh informed India that such incidents are not only a security threat to diplomats but will also damage the mutual relations, respect, and peace of the two countries. Meanwhile, Delhi summoned the Bangladeshi envoy in response to the summoning of the Indian envoy.
Referring to the Bangladeshi envoy, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs said that Bangladesh has been showing unreasonable and irrelevant reactions on some issues in recent times. In response, Bangladeshi envoy Riaz Hamidullah said that Bangladesh is raising allegations based on reality on various issues. Hindu militants from the world Hindutva organization Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal started raising extremely provocative slogans against Bangladesh. Along with this, they burnt the effigy of Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the chief advisor to the interim government of Bangladesh.
On that day, Hindu militants entered the diplomatic area carrying saffron flags and chanting slogans. At that time, they tried to break the police barricade and enter. Then the police were forced to Baton charge the Hindu militants. However, a group of 40 to 60 people ignored all obstacles and entered the High Commission and vandalized and looted. Instead of bringing the situation under control, the law enforcement agencies were seen cooperating with the Hindu militants.
Overall, the Bangladesh High Commissions in India are in an extremely insecure state. According to the United Nations Vienna Convention, each country must provide security for the diplomatic missions of other countries in their country. But India has been violating the said United Nations agreement.
International media and global leaders have always played a silent role regarding the atrocities on Muslims in India. But when India raises false allegations of Hindu atrocities in Bangladesh, the international media runs an anti-Bangladesh campaign in tune with India. This is called hypocrisy.
Now Bangladesh should raise the allegations against India in the UN to show how it is trying to destabilize Bangladesh. At the same time, Bangladesh should talk about the atrocities on Muslims in India.
