Iran receives modern fighter jets: Russia Iran Relation

Online Desk:

Iran has received the fourth-generation MiG-29 fighter jets from Russia. Russia has supplied several fighter jets. However, Iran has not disclosed the number of fighter jets. The fighter jets are currently stationed at the country's Siraj Air Base. They will be removed from here later. Iranian and international media outlets have reported this news, citing a member of the National Security Committee of the Iranian Parliament. It is also known that that Iran is going to bring Chinese and Russian air defense systems. The surprise will be the Russian 4.5-generation fighter jet SU-35.

Iran, one of the superpowers in the Middle East, lags behind in military power due to the lack of modern fighter jets. Iran has some old-fashioned fighter jets in its fleet. But it is impossible to fight against Israel in the air. For that purpose, Iran has purchased modern fighter jets to protect its airspace. Iran has not been able to modernize its air force due to Western sanctions. Iran is taking such steps to modernize the lagging Iranian air force.

Earlier, Iran had fighter jets made by America and China. Iran has used American-made F-4 Phantom, F-14 Tomcat and Chinese-made F-7M fighter jets.

International military experts said that Iran has been forced to take such a decision due to the recent attacks on Israel by entering and attacking Iran's airspace. Iran is far behind in air power. Modern fighter jets are needed to protect Iran's existence. For this, Iran is trying to demonstrate its power in the air by purchasing modern fighter jets.
