The 2026 World Cup is going to be the first time that the World Cup is going to be held in a new format with 48 teams. The group stage draw is going to be held on December 5. The qualifying phase of the continent other than Europe is nearing the end. This year's World Cup will be held in three countries. The United States, Canada and Mexico will host the greatest show on earth. So far, 18 countries have confirmed their places in the World Cup.

The teams that have confirmed a direct place in the World Cup from Asia are: Japan, South Korea, Jordan, Uzbekistan, Australia, Iran.

So far, two teams from the African region have confirmed their tickets, Tunisia and Morocco. 

Six countries from South America have confirmed their places. Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Colombia, Ecuador. 

Only one team from the Oceania region, New Zealand, will participate in the World Cup. 

Six teams from North America will get a direct place in the World Cup. Canada, the United States and Mexico will participate as the host countries. The remaining three teams will participate in the World Cup directly through the qualifiers. 

No team from Europe has yet been able to confirm their tickets for the World Cup. The qualifiers for the European region began a few days ago. The largest number of countries from this region will participate in the World Cup.
